City Moves Closer to Deal with Tennova
Council to consider $1.4 million contract with a firm to manage construction of new police/fire headquarters.

The City of Knoxville appears to be moving closer to a deal with Tennova Healthcare for the Physicians Regional Medical Center campus in North Knoxville.
Volkert Inc. would handle all aspects of the project, from planning to furnishings.
On Tuesday, City Council will consider a $1.4 million contract with Volkert Inc. to be the city’s owner representative for a $40 million project to build a new home for the Knoxville Police Department, administrative offices for the Fire Department and municipal court.
