A social media flurry engulfs a proposed public artwork, but officials say it's still evolving.

The preliminary design for a $500,000 sculpture commissioned by the City of Knoxville has caused some consternation on social media, but officials say the rendering included in the artist’s proposal doesn’t necessarily reflect what will eventually be installed downtown.
