Judge Rules Law Director Can't Continue Suits

Chancellor says county mayor and Commission have authority to settle litigation brought by Armstrong.

In a ruling released Friday, Chancellor John Weaver found that Knox County Law Director Bud Armstrong does not have the authority to continue his pension lawsuits against the wishes of County Commission and county Mayor Glenn Jacobs.
In a struggle over legal authority, the court sides with the county mayor.
