In an unusually testy Knox County Commission work session Monday evening, commissioners couldn’t muster enough votes to add a resolution of support for a legal settlement requested by county Mayor Glenn Jacobs to their agenda for next week’s monthly meeting.

Although six of the 10 commissioners present at the work session voted to bring the issue up for consideration, adding a new item to the agenda requires a two-thirds vote, so the motion failed.
