The city of Knoxville is looking to hire an architecture and design firm to assess the former St. Mary’s hospital site to house the city’s safety and courts offices. The administration of Mayor Madeline Rogero is asking City Council to approve a $50,000 contract for Benefield Richters at tonight’s meeting to conduct an analysis of the site.
Next step: a site assessment for the city.
The proposed contract charges the firm with assessing the St. Mary’s property and predicting the cost of converting it to municipal use.
